This page explains the privacy approach of the MsgPort website. It complements the privacy information provided with MsgPort: Text Message Export on the App Store.
The MsgPort app
The App Store privacy disclosure states that the developer does not collect data from the MsgPort app. MsgPort works with screenshots and screen recordings that you choose on your iPhone and does not require you to sign in to a messaging account.
This website
This static website does not include account registration, contact forms, advertising trackers, or analytics scripts. Standard hosting infrastructure may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time for security and delivery purposes. The exact retention period depends on the hosting provider selected for deployment.
App Store links
When you follow a link to Apple’s App Store, Apple processes that visit under its own privacy terms. The MsgPort website does not receive your Apple ID or App Store purchase details.
Third-party messaging services
MsgPort is an independent utility. References to Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, and other services describe the source of screenshots a user may choose to import. Those services have their own privacy practices.
Changes
This notice may be updated if the website later adds analytics, support forms, or other services. Any material change should be described here before the new service is enabled.
